Balance and Gait Training

Balance and Gait Training focuses on helping individuals walk more safely and confidently, reducing the risk of falls and improving overall mobility. Whether you're recovering from an injury, managing a neurological condition, or noticing changes in your balance as you age, this therapy is designed to restore stability, coordination, and control.

At JointKare Physical Therapy, we begin with a comprehensive assessment to identify what’s affecting your balance or walking pattern—this could be related to muscle weakness, joint stiffness, inner ear issues, nerve problems, or even postural habits. From there, we develop a customized plan to target the root causes and improve functional movement.

Balance and gait therapy may include:

  • Strength and flexibility exercises

  • Functional movement and posture training

  • Step and stride correction

  • Obstacle navigation and dynamic balance activities

  • Vestibular and proprioceptive training

  • Use and fitting of assistive devices (canes, walkers, etc.) when needed

Improving your balance and walking not only reduces your risk of falls—it boosts your confidence, independence, and ability to participate in everyday life.
